| I'm finally buying a sling for my AR and I already know about all the major brands and which slings are highly recommended but....I want to use a sling with QD swivels on both ends so I'm trying to figure out which sling I can get for the best price (of the major brands) that would come with sling swivels. I know the Larue padded sling and one of the Vickers slings come with swivels but do any others? This is obviously going to be a 2 point sling but I'm looking for some advice on which is the best one available that would come with sewn in QD swivels. I know that swivels can be added to basically any sling but I think I would prefer to have them sewn in. Thanks for any advice you have to offer. |
| I run VCAS slings on all my AR's and a BH single point on my AR pistol. VCAS IMO are some of the best 2 points on the market. Just dont short change yourself and get a less than adequate sling just because it has sewed on QD's. None of mine are sewn and they have all seen pretty heavy use. If your hell bent on the sewing you can always have a shop do it or sew them on yourself. |

I would get this one: http://www.blueforcegear.com/products/Vickers-Push-Button-Sling.html
No need for a padded sling on an AR, it's not like you are lugging around a 15-20 pound M249 SAW. |

I like the BFG VCAS with acetal adjuster and sewn-in QDs. The metal adjuster is noisy when it hits the receiver and can scratch the finish. |

I just finished a Noveske N6 with a 21 inch barrel and bipod. Heavy as hell! Also, I traded my metal adjuster Vickers sling for a molded acetal version, I didn't like the noise either. |

Sounds like the Blue Force Vickers Padded VCAS is what you are looking for. I just got mine & am very pleased with the construction & functionality. This is the SKU# VCAS-PB-200-AA. Padded VCAS with built-in QD is where it's at. Am I carrying a SAW? No. But if you're gonna have a strap rubbing on your neck in the sun all day for 1 or 2 days, it's more comfy to have it padded. |

I have used the VTAC, EMDOM Gunslinger, and Vickers for a few years but have just got this: Ares Armor Huskey Sling. It's built by Marines as the company owners are all either active duty or recently separated and all have been instructors. Add some good quality QDs and your in business.
The Vickers and VTACs are really good products, but this is (IMHO) better for most general use. The adjustment is very easy and can be used really easily with gloves on. MARSOC (DET1, Scout Snipers, and MC Recon) just switched from the VTAC to this. I still like the Gunslinger for a gun that has HK hook mounting points as it does seem to be less bulky. I use it with a G3 clone and it works very well for that. |
