Can't decide which upper to use on my "go to" carbine:
1: BCM 14.5" standard profile middy with pinned Vortex. Not free floated with a fixed FSB wearing a MI drop in rail. 2: PSA 16" pencil barrel middy with A2 hider. Free floated MI modular rail and MBUS. The PSA feels like I can move it a little quicker because of the lighter front end but the BCM doesnt feel bad really. Edit: Both are 1/7 twist. |

Depends on your shooting style. Do you take advantage of the longer free-float rail? FWIW, I'm a fan of having a shorter rifle for a "go-to" gun especially if it might be used indoors. My property is wooded so anything over 50yds is unlikely so the FF wouldn't be much of a help. |
