I am looking to buy a complete upper and wanted to know what you guys thought as to the best place to buy and which is the best upper to get. I am looking to get a A3 flat top with the M4 feed cuts and a 16" M4 profile barrel -- also recommended chamber to get 5.56 or 223 ?? Is it the 5.56 chamber is good for both 5.56 and .223 ammo or the other way around ? Thanks in advance. |
| Get a complete upper from CMMG they are priced at $499.95. they feature 4150 barrel steel, chrome lining in the barrel, 1/7 twist, they should have real M4 feed ramps soon, but thier dremeled M4 feed ramps work great too. That also have a 5.56 chamber, forged front sight base. They are a real good deal, and a a great quality upper. I like them better than anyone else. Thanks Arvin |
Hey Arvin you think CMMG would dremel in some feedramps for me if I sent them my current upper? I just can't bring myself to take the dremel to it, I don't have enough confidence in my dremel skills That would be sweet if it was reasonably priced and quick turnaround, anyone know who else would do something like that? bitterslpleaf, I don't know if they would but you never know until you ask. I think they might if you were to ask nicely. Gimme_A_Carbine, The upper from CMMG came with a complete bolt carrier and charging handle, and I have heard if they run out of regular bolt carriers they substitute chromed carriers at no additional cost. To me they are a great deal, and they are pretty much the only place I will go to get a barrel or a complete upper. Thanks Arvin CMMG |
