I want to take my RRA middy along as a back up in case my main gun tanks out .Is there an off the shelf load I can get for this in 223 that is good for deer. ??

75 gr + but not sure if it's legal in all states to do so.

55gr+, centerfire, and over 1-1/2" OAL is the requirement in Oklahoma.
As demonstrated in the elk thread, there bullet is capable, but shot placement is critical.
A .22 LR will take a deer, but you better have a spine shot or a double lung heart shot.
