I want a 20" freefloated HBAR. (NON-stainless bull barrel) Everyone has the 14 pound varmint barrel and what I need is something like the bushmaster v-match only not quite as much $$$. I saw one at a gunshow a while back and the guy said that Model 1 had them. The only ones I've seen are more of that bull barrel stuff. Thanks for your help. Jon |

Yes Model 1 does advertise the standard "Hbar" or heavy barrel profile without it being the full bull barrel. Most makers offer the non-tapered "Hbar" style because its cheaper to machine. From their catalog: 20” Standard upper half, post-ban with 11º target crown, 1-9 twist . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .$285 http://www.model1sales.com/ Add free float tube..........$25 The bolt/carrier group and charging handle is $85 more Fluting is another $50 weaver rail type front gas block is a no charge option. They have just about every common configuration offered in their .pdf catalog. But the complete upper puts you withing a few $ of their $400 complete kits (everything but the stripped lower) which may be a good way to aquire spare parts, or sell-off/trade parts. I don't have experience with them, but many here do. Good luck in the search, Cheers, Otto |
