[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Who makes this upper?

I have a chance to buy a rifle with a bushmaster lower and an A2 style upper with 24" barrel and knurled float tube. the upper is lighter color than the bushy lower and the only markings on it are a C M on the carry handle just forward of the rear sight. The seller says it is a bushmaster upper but I am not sure. Anyone know what this one is?

CM is the forge code for Colt / Martin Marietta.
See if there is a small C or triangle stamped in front of the port door.

Thanks,I thought it looked like Colt grey but I had only seen the C MP mark before. I was unsure if the C M was genuine or some kind of knock off. There is a small stamp forward of the port but it is impossible to make out. Thanks for the reply.
