It's my arbitrarily declared cleaning time. Every gun gets cleaned and CLPed whether it has been shot or not. The ones that haven't been shot in the previous year are actually pretty quick.

Just a quick Heloise tip. I got some of the green hangtags that people buy for garage sales. Running it through the trigger guard signifies the gun is clean and hasn't been shot. If I take it to the range, I pull the green tag off. It gets put back on after the gun is cleaned again.
This won't help ya'll that clean after every range session, but the more I shoot, the more I fail to clean afterward. Helps me keep my modest, but growing, collection in check.

I pull all weapons out about every 90 days (not religiously), and do a quick look over and wipe down with CLP. Run a damp CLP patch through the bore and back in the safe for storage until either the range or the next 90 days, which ever comes first.

Every year my fire arms gets a treatment of MPro 7 brand CLP or Breakfree Collector. I used to use Rig Universal Grease but it's been discontinued. GGRRRRR!

Spring cleaning? Is that where you clean the springs but leave everything else dusty?

I drag my guns out every time I wash my cars. I put them down with the floor mats, scrub with a brush and then rinse clean.
