I've been reading up on Windham Weaponry AR's.  I haven't heard any negative.  Anyone have any first hand experience with them?

Thats because they are good. My dad bought one. It is a good basic rifle with quality parts at a good price.

And what prices are you seeing them go for?

Is this price justifiable, when a BCM or Colt is just a few dollars more?

I heard they are the original Bush Master manufacturer.  Sold out, waited for non-compete clause to end and opened back up the factory.

I think my dad paid just over $850 for his. I would say that's a good price for what you get. No doubt those other companies make a nice rifle but its more then just "a few" dollars difference. Bottom line is Windham makes a nice rifle, they just don't have the name yet. It a lot of the old Bushmaster guys

Hey all, just recently purchased the heavy barrel (varmint) model.

Really impressed with fit and finish, also own a nice Colt and understand you are paying for whats inside and not the finish, but the Windham looks great inside and out!!!.....Tried a few different types of factory ammo, feels tight as a drum but not a single mis-fire/feed and seems to shoot everything really well. Haven't done any serious group testing but initial thoughts are great.....single hole groups at 50 yards with a huge red dot.

So, well staked, great fit and finish, quality parts, seems to shoot great (everyone thats shouldered it has commented on the great balance....for a heavy barrel they've really nailed the weight I think)

Southern hemisphere here....and they seem to have sold out like hotcakes, never thought I'd be able to purchase an AR of this quality for the price.

All up really happy, good job Windham, guess time will tell but pretty sure I'll be keeping this for a LONG time. Only criticism would be the 'average' trigger pull.

I am tempted to snatch up the one my local walmart has for $799 . Sporting section has crappy customer service so I couldn't get any specs on the rifle , but it looks like a good price.

I heard around here the prices were pretty low for them in the gunstores

Wow we made it maybe 5 days without a Windham post...I have had one for close to a year and am still enjoying it. I did replace the trigger with a SSA..

Check out the forum in Industry for all the info you need.

I read through the Windham web site and see they are making a much nicer AR than the old Bushmaster.  You can get mil-spec barrels and BCG's now.  They are staying with the commercial diameter RE's, there reasoning is owners want to change them out anyway.

What are the features  that are drawing you to the WW? If it is the price find a new hobby because the ammo is spensive.

I saw them at Walmart too but had never heard of them.  Good to know in case someone needs an AR 'right now'.

Ive had one for a few months and it has been stellar in performance. i got it at Cabelas and they have an exclusive arrangement with WW to provide the AR's with an American Flag laser etched on the right side of the mag well. Doenst affect anything but it sure looks good on the rifle. The quality seems very good and it functions flawlessly. I think i paid a little over $800 for mine and would buy another one if I had the cash. Their customer service is great and they respond quickly to comments/questions left on their industry page. And they also provide a transferable lifetime warranty. If you are interested in one, i dont think you will be disappointed at all.
