What do you guys wipe your AR's down with on the outer surfaces (upper, lower, barrel, ect.) to keep away rust, and to keep that deep black, new look?  I used RemOil but it seems to come off quickly.

I use a Silicone impregnated gun cloth...Birchwood Casey, I think. I keep a fresh one in my cleaning stuff, and an old one in my rifle case. The latter gets broken out when the gun needs a quick wipe down after a call-out, deployment, or a rainy range day.

Would a soft gun cloth with a CPL work good as well?

CPL?

Do you mean a cloth with some CLP on it?

Sorry, that's what I meant

CLP works just fine, get some of the Collector or LP formula if you aren't going to clean with it.
I'll also toss in the suggestion for well laundered old black T or cotton polo shirts for rags.

I also use a silicone cloth.  Fresh ones work great.

With my custom paint job, I only use a clean soft cloth.

I use Shooters Choice "Rust Prevent"..lightly spray all surfaces and wipe it down..the rifles stay looking new (for the most part).

That will work fine.  I use an old t-shirt and CLP.

I have been using the Sheath/Barricade stuff for years and has worked great......I just spray them down, only wipe off every so often.....just keep them wet

I would previously use the REM wipes but did little for me really. Ive recently switched to break-free CLP and use a light coat which cleans and protects/ lubricates until the next time i shoot.

I use a good CLP/LP.
For application of lubes I prefer to use a 7/8" round stencil brush. As a tip, keep the stencil brush in a paint ball or plastic cigar tube to keep it clean and from fouling your range bag, pocket etc..
