So I'm going to build/piece together my own ar-15.

Lower: Spikes Tactical Zombie (wanted the Rainier Arms Zombie lower but it's sold out with no back order as of yet)
Upper: Rainier Arms Combat Series Upper - CE16
LPK: DPMS LPK
Stock: Magpul Moe
Sights: Magpul gen2 sights and Aimpoint M-68

Any ideas or suggestions feel free to add.

ditch the DPMS lower parts kit, they suck.  get a stag, DD, spikes, anything along those lines.  all of em are good and cheap (65 dollar price range).

you also need a buffer assembly.

Thanks.

I already purchased the DPMS but I'll probably get the DD or stag.

I wasn't sure if the Magpul stock came with the assembly or not.  Got a link for one?

no, if you are ordering just a magpul MOE stock (i think its like 50 bucks right?) it does not come with the buffer.  make sure your buffer tube and stock match (i.e. both milspec, or both commercial spec.  prefferably mil spec)

what you need

rainier (and/or whoever else you are ordering from) doesnt have it in a package like that but they do sell everything individually if you want to order from them to save shipping charges or whatever.

if you arleady ordered the DPMS its ok.  the kit itself is fine and it works but the two ive used had horrible trigger creep and that seems to be general consensus.  since you already bought it, use it and just see first.  if you end up hating the trigger, you could go with the spikes nickel boron trigger kit for 60 bucks on aimsurplus.

Thanks for the link.

How is the trigger compared to a standard army m-4 trigger?

When my Bushmaster started doubling I bought the DPMS trigger as a replacement and it has worked fine for me.  There is a slight amount of creep but i dont have any issues with it.  It feels just like the Bushmaster that came off of the gun.

Just saw a thread where someone said that Rainier emailed them and apparently they'll be back in stock in a couple days.

Wrong, look again. Use the drop-down box and there's an option for the complete kit.

ETA: My mistake, just looked and I guess I'm wrong. Maybe it was the CTR I was thinking of?

oh wow lol i didnt know about the drop down menus,  i just used the search button....guess i should have read more carefully.   i remember i almost choked on my own vomit when i built my last AR because i saw the sopmod was listed @ 300$ but its 200$ for the stock only and 300 was for the kit (seriously...rainier you guys charge 50$ for a buffer kit for the magpul stocks but for a sopmod you charge 100 and its the same parts?  42$ more for the buffer because the stock is more tacti-cool)

Trigger feel can & does vary from kit to kit.
