I was wondering if anyone here has had any first hand experience with the X200 LED Weaponlight. I was looking at replacing my M3 with one, but I wanted to find out how good the light output of the X200 is compared to the M3. I know the X200 was in a magazine a while back, but you can't always believe what you read in firearms magazines. Also, if anyone has handled and experimented with one, how does it compare in size to the M3? I have a 6280 holster for my G22 with the M3 on it now. I know the holsters can be molded with a heat gun, so if the X200 is about the same size, then I could use the same holster and not have to shell out the extra money on a new holster also. |
| Its going to have a bright whiter beam but its spread over a much larger area. You will lose about half the distance from an M3. You will probably be able to use it a 26m max if its set up like the L4. Even if its got a tighter focus due to the bezel you will likely have no more than 30m max range. Thats actaully plenty for a handgun light though. |

Quoted: I would also want to know if it will fit in the same holster as the streamlight M3. They look very close in size from what I can tell in pictures. Brightflashlights or C4 might be able to tell us. From what I've been told, no, the X200 won't fit the M3 holsters. I have yet to lay my hands on one so I can't give a visual comparison yet. |

| About 50-60 yards. Less than 70 even with the P61. The P61 mostly makes the hot spot bigger. Thats with the M3 turned into a spot too. You must also realise this is a MUCH smaller spot of light than an L4 and much more yellow. Also the light gets more yellow and dims with use which the regulated LED lights dont. The LED light will also have a longer run time, be more shock resistant etc. If you consider your pistols max range to be 25m then the light put out by an L4 is actually better than a P60 or M3 95% of the time. |

Range of the Insight M3X? Longer it has a spot to flood adjustable beam and 125lumen light, the LED light has 60lumen light from what I've heard and a large flood beam. The M3x should be capable of 50-100yds, depending on beam adjustment. I don't have experience with the M3X though, I am waiting to pounce on a M6X!!!! My fingers have been crossed for so long I think they are permanently deformed : ) |
