Would the XM177E2 be built on a CM makred upper reciever or a C in the box marked upper, would it make a difference? I have both and am wondering which would be more correct for an XM177E2 build.

They had no forge code, but of course had the C in square and VP in triangle Colt markings in front of the port door.  They also had the counterbored front pivot pin hole.
