Any input on the differences between these?
Both are Federal PN#'s One more desirable than the other? Update: According to wideners. Federal announces that packaging for XM193 is now done in Anoka, so a new part number (XM193F) was needed for FET purposes. THIS IS THE SAME ammo as XM193, and XM193C and apparently replaces both of these items. |

Since we know the A is for the stripper clips, I can only assume the F maybe stands for 2008 production ammo?

I will be amused if XM193 is 40% cheaper in 5 months I don't see any way ammo will be 40% cheaper, even cheaper at all. You already forgot there was an election 1 month ago and the anti gun guys won? Apparently most manufacturers will be increasing ammo prices 5-15% come Jan :( |

Anybody got a delivery from LTD? Are they good guys like AIM etc? On the first page in the ammo forum there is a thread about it. Here, had to go down 6 threads to find it... http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=16&t=411576 |

ltdammo.com Offers Top Notch customer service.
I ordered on Monday Dec 8th and it was on my front porch on Friday Dec 12th. I have also compared the prices to half a dozen other websites, they offer the best deal. Someone on here posted that at Gander in Ohio they could get it for 7.50 a box. LTDAMMO.COM BEATS THAT PRICE and it's delivered to your door step. Tom has answered my emails within mins of any questions I had. Ltd is even cheaper than the auction site. Which I was surprised to see. Figured the auction site would be the cheapest. |

I got my shipment today. It is in white boxes, but the cartridges look just like the XM193 we all know and love. I got my shipment of XM193 today, and the cases are discolored at the top (well, not pretty brass colored as well as the base), and there are black lacquer looking spots all over the casing and large spots at the neck that looks like it was overrun when the bullet was inserted into the shell. I will freely admit I am a n00b wrt 5.56 ammo, but is this the way it is supposed to look? I'm sure it shoots smoother than the milky thighs of an innocent, barely legal young maiden, but considering I had to figuratively hike into the middle of freaking Mordor to find this stuff I was thinking it would look better. Maybe I am just being too vain
