I searched Gas blocks thinking I would have enough reading for 2 hours, but there was nothing. I want to take my front sight off and I need a gas block. (Magpul MBUS for secondary sights) I have a YHM 2 piece (mid-length) hand guard so I was going to go with a YHM Low profile gas block but I wasnt sure of some things. First what it will look like so if anyone have any pictures of YHM or any kind of gas blocks post them up! 2nd Now I know with Larues gas block it actually goes into the handgaurd and I wasnt sure if the YHM did that or not if anyone could clarify. Also if you have YHM let me know what you think of it.

I have a YHM Midlength handguard and YHM lo pro gas block on a carbine length barrel and the sights are MBUS on this rifle.

Not the greatest pic. The gas block is hidden under the handguard with no problems. I love this setup.

I have YHM flip up sights on my AR. The front one is part of the GB and I welded on a rail section under it since that model was OOS everywhere when I needed it. I like it just fine. Seems well made and co-witnessed with my red dot perfectly too.

Before you put on the handguards put the gas block on and tighten it down with the supplied alan screws, then put on the handguard.

ETA: In your case take off your handguard first, replace gas block, replace handguard and your done.
