I picked up a set of YHM-9670 two piece carbine handguards today.
When I go to install them, the directions don't indicate which part of the handguard is the "front".  There are large threaded holes (3 on the top and 1 onthe bottom) in the handguards.  
What is the purpose of these holes?
Do these go to the muzzle end or chamber end of the rifle?

Threaded holes go to the front.  They are for threading in sling studs.
