[ARCHIVED THREAD] - YHM backordered handguards?

I ordered a YHM lightweight specter kit in mid december after some HARD searching for someone who had them in stock, but to no aval. The dealer I ordered from could not give me an estimate on when it might come in. Anyone know anything relevent to this topic?

I know that everyone right now wants a YHM 2-piece rail, myself included. Patience is a virtue that you must utilize here. It sucks, but they'll be in stock soon. At least I hope...

Actually OperationParts.com has them in right now. Better order quick if you want them before they are gone! I'm going to wait to order as they are a little more spendy than most (at least for YHM stuff)

fyi - I ordered mine from Delton back in mid October ($119.95). They've been on backorder with an unknown date of arrival ever since. All of a sudden, the little brown truck pulled up today and delivered my new YHM 2 pc carbine 4 rail handguard. I put them on one of my babies that has been waiting and they fit great. I was so impressed, I went ahead and ordered a full length set today for a dissy.

That's where I ordered from. But im not after 2 peice handguards. I got the freefloat 4 rail system. Or rather, I'm still waiting...

I also ordered from BRAVO COMPANY. 7 days for full float carbine 4rail handguard.

I ordered the exact same kit from RB Precision (great guys by the way). Apparently, YHM had lost several employees and stopped producing these temporarily. The word I heard for that particular item, was 2 months + (this in mid-December). Other items were likely to be available sooner. I have an e-mail out to RB who is very good about getting details. Hopefully, I'll know more by next week. -esc

YHM is starting to ship various PO to various dealers.

I don't think they are caught up yet, but maybe soon
