I see quite a few people using the YHM furniture but don't remember seeing anyone mention their barrels and complete upper kits. Has anyone here bought one of their complete uppers? If so, how did you like it?
Their uppers come with chrome-lined, fluted barrels, and they are already outfitted with the quad rail h/g and flip BUIS. Seems like a great deal. Am I wrong? |
| A co-worker recently picked up a SBR upper & can from YHM. We shot it at the range the other day & he has been pleased with the purchase thus far. Performs just like any other properly built upper. I'll be the first to admit that I tried to talk him out of the purchase & asked him to go with a better known & established upper manufacturer because I've not been impressed with YHM so far. Their gear works but they're not anything that will awe you. He wanted YHM because our class III dealer deals a lot in YHM but he's been happy with the upper. Their cans are known quality but we'll see how the upper holds up. It's not snobbery but they haven't been making uppers very long. I don't think it's rocket science but I'm always suspicious of new items before I trust. |

I've had one for about 6 months now and am very happy with it. First shots were 5 in one hole at 25 meters, after zeroing I moved back and kept 5 inside .75 inch at 100. Damn good for a carbine I think!
Also, it eats every type/brand of ammo I've tried which is Wolf (FMJ and HP) Barnaul, FGMM, LC M855, TAP, and some brass cased import of unknown brand. Everything shoots well and feeds perfect. No FTF or FTE after approx 1500 rds. |
