AR15.com'ers,

I have a TA50-6 that was mounted to a 20" A4'd gun.  Currently, it resides on a LMT 16" M4-styled upper that has yet to be zeroed.

Unfortunately, I forgot what to zero at for a Compact ACOG.  Would you folks zero at 50yds or 100yds?

I'm leaning towards 50yds as that is my preferred method.

Thanks in advance,
-Jim

I'm not sure what reticle that one has, but my TA50R-2 has a red triangle reticle. I zeroed the tip of the triangle at 100 yards. Anything closer and I can just put the triangle on em and have a pretty reliable chance to hit.

Just about the flattest trajectory you will get, comes with a 50/200m zero.

TA-47 here.

Tip of triangle at 100M.

For 50 & 200 use the entire triagle like a dot sight.

For 25M & 300M use the bottum of the triangle.

This is with a 16" flat top shooting 75Gn Hornady.

Folks,

Thanks for your input.

The TA50-6 has the mega-dot (no triangle).  Looks like I'll be zeroing at 100yds with the desired POI tangent to 12 o'clock position on the dot.
