How would you zero in a laser?

If your iron sights, red dot, or scope is already zeroed, you can use them as a quick guide of a known POI.

There are 1,000 ways to do this - but, I have found a boresight method works best, as I zero my laser and sights/optics at different ranges...

Remove the upper from your weapon and place it into a secure mount, such as a gun vise or between sandbags. Place a target out to the distance you wish to zero the laser (I do mine at 10 yds, with CQ usage in mind). Look though the barrel and center your weapon on the target. Turn on the laser and adjust it to the center of your target's mass. I literally draw big cross-hairs on a piece of posterboard for this.

Reassemble your weapon and fire from the vise/rest using the laser. Make your fine adjustments as needed. Zeroed to your liking!
