I came across a mutt with an A-1 upper receiver marked CH I think this is a Colt, It is a small hole with a teardrop forward assist and no deflector. The gun has some parts I would like to have (here we go again) is this receiver desireable as I won't need it?

It sounds like an M16A1 upper from Colt.

It would be USGI.

Does the barrel have any markings (if it comes with a barrel).

I can't see the barrel markings as they are covered with the ff tube (one of the parts I want

) it is a 16" light barrel. The lower is a Bushmaster with the L sn# (LAR, I think).

Well, it does sound like a mutt, but he DID use a Bushy lower so.......
