There were few things sweeter than when Galyan's would put Q3131A on sale for $2.99 per box, then give you a 10% discount if you bought 10+ boxes (and who wouldn't?)! Methinks those days are over, at least where I live. The Dick's stores only have UltraMax .223. |
| A little over a year ago I got a 1916 Spanish Mauser at Galyans. I got a battlepack of the Portugese to go with it. Since then I have stopped by occasionally to pick up one of two more packs. A few weeks ago I stopped by and got their remaining three packs for $32. each. So now I have 2600 rounds of the stuff and only the one rifle to shoot it with. If any of you have ever fired a 1916 Spanish Mauser rebarreled for .308, you know that there is no way you will ever shoot that much ammo through one of those. Still haven't figured out what I want to get so that I can shoot off the remaining ammo. |
You all suck.  I wish our Dicks was like that. The "Dicks" in Greensboro NC barely carries centerfire handgun ammo. Much less anything else. No surplus ammo, surplus rifles, Q3131a, or anything remotely near what you all are talking about.And the only ammo they ever have on sale is UMC 9mm for $5.98 a box. Went across the street to Sports Auth and got Win white 9mm for $4.99. Guess I will have to stick to internet ammo... |
