Anyone with any use time with a MARS reflex sight system w/ laser?  I can get one, do I want one?
I have used the M68 for real, but have not seen a MARS up close to know what gives.

My gripes:

The red dot goes off when you use the laser... so if you use the laser to point out a distant object to another person, you're gonna be a little off.

The switch is on a pretty thick cord and is not very flexible or very long and that makes it very hard to find a good spot to position it for your hands.

The remote switch is also permanently attached, so if it gets fucked up, the sight is fucked... not just the switch.

Multipurpose Aiming Reflex Sight

Along with what  tweeter said they do not co-wittness and battery life is not all that and a bad of chips.

IMO, money is better spent elsewhere by staying with the M68 and having a separate IR Laser.

if you want an IR-Laser/RDS combo, you can look to Insight Technology for their ISM-IR.  It is a much better unit than the MARS.

EOLAD by Laser Devices.

EO-Tech/Laser combo. Very nice, ultra expensive.
