I'd like to put a decent quality scope on my A3 but, as a single dad, I can't spend 1K or more for the latest greatest scope on the market. I'm looking at either the Burris Fullfield II Tactical 2X7 or the Leupold VXI 2X7 with the Long Range Duplex. Both retail about the same and, within my budget. If anyone here has any experience, good or bad, with either of these scopes I'd like to hear from you. Thanks,B. |

I'm a firm believer in the Burris Fullfield II line. I put a FFII 3x9 on my deer rifle and love it. To my eye it looked like a much better scope than the VXI. Everyone I know with a Fullfield II has been happy with them. I don't think you could go wrong with either, really. When it came time to scope the AR I picked up a Bushnell Tropy 1.75-4x32. I wanted something cheap and durable, and it works. But I looked long and hard at the FFII Tactical 2x7. It's a lot of scope for the money. |

ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=338100 Try this. I faced a very similar situation. I went with the Burris FFII 3X9. It is very clear and seems to be of high quality. I have mounted it on my deer rifle but have not had a chance to try it out yet. |
