So I am here do figure out what all is different, and who makes the different parts.

However as I understand the only difference is the barrel, so who makes barrels?

Only one I know of is DPMS.
Also what lengths are available.

Thanks!

You have several options with barrels or there are several manufacturers that sell 204 uppers.

Just a little web searching will turn up some more I would imagine

If you want to utilize optimal ballistics get at least 23" of barrel

Personally, I would go with someone that uses Pac-Nor 3 groove super match barrel blanks....like Noveske.  Those things shoot 3's all day in an AR.

White Oak Armament has 1/10 twist .204 uppers from 20, 22, 24 and 26" for sale as well as 1/12 twist PacNor barrels in the same lengths. They are HEAVY barrels, but he will turn them down if you want. John Holliger built uppers have placed first for two years running at Camp Perry, Ohio National Championships. He's my go to guy for over ten years now.
