just put the finishing touches on my .223/5.56 precision build.

it's a partial build because i started out with a Sig Sauer M400 lower and upper receiver.

for the lower, i added a Geissele SSA-E trigger, which is fantastic, and changed out to the Magpul UBR stock, which is great but heavy. wouldn't use it for a mobile platform.

for the upper, I went with an Odin Works 18" SS 3 gun barrel with an intermediate length gas system. BCG is a RedX Arms NIB hybrid.(bolt carrier is NIB, but the bolt is not). added the generic SS muzzle brake. the hand guard is a 15" UTG Pro free float. these are great hand guards for the money. i have 2 of them now and am very happy with them. nice and light. the scope is a 6-24x 50mm from Scorpion Armaments.. it's a starter cheapy until i figure out what and how much to spend on a better one. i have only shot this weapon a few times and at a max of 25 yards. so far in this very limited test it has been fine and held zero ok.

looking forward to get it out to the outdoor range here in south Florida.

I bet a Burris FullField II 4.5-14x42mm would be perfect. I've got one on my wife's bolt 223, and i'm thinking about adding their 3-9x40mm fullfield II to my AR. They are doing rebates through the end of the year. Amazon has the 4.5-14x42mm for $265, and you can get a $100 mail in rebate.
