Anything special I should know about installing a CMMG .22lr barrel to a stripped upper?  I'm assuming it's no different than 5.56.  I haven't received the barrel yet but I expect it soon.  Are the torque values the same?  Can I use a standard receiver block?  No biggie right?

It depends on the receiver block you're using. If you are using the DPMS Panther claw, you will have to modify the block to allow the .22 barrel chamber to fit.

I use a clam shell type block. The insert needs a 1/2" hole drilled into the end of it for the barrel chamber to fit in. Other than that, it's just like installing a 5.56 barrel.

I don't know what your capabilities are, but I advise you to have your upper receiver trued before you
assemble your rifle.  I have two (2) uppers (from Cerro Forge) that were not true, and after torquing the
barrel nut discovered about a 2 degree offset to the right.  I had to apply 2 Mil of left windage to get on paper.

A trip to my gun smith, 30 minutes later after truing on the lathe, and the bore was on centerline with the
bolt raceway.  It cost me $35.00 and was well worth it, now my windage is at 0, where it should be.

Just a suggestion.
