I bought a DPMS Recon a few weeks ago and just got to shoot it today and started breaking it in with some Georgia Arms 150 gr FMJ ammo using iron sights.
My target was a 5.56 '25 meter' battlefield zero target that was increased in size for 50 yd use (the standard man silhouette ), but it was only about 2 5/8" wide x 4 3/4" high - Which was pretty much narrower than my front sight and hard to see at 50 yds.. What size target do ppl use at 50 yrds for iron sights on an 308 AR? OR is the silhouette I am using about the correct size? Looking around here I found a downloadable similar target "improved m4-ar15 Carbine zero target 50 m" but the man silhouette looks even smaller than what I was using - here Brian |
