How hoes the accuracy in these AR .308's like the DPMS, Armalite compare to a bolt action rifle?? I'm talkin about 300+ yrds...

I have been able to shoot 300yds sub MOA with my AR10Tc (16")
Best group at 300M was 3 shots 2.27 inches center to center, average is right at MOA

AR10A4 20" chrome-lined heavy - MOA (when I do my part)

Usually with Hornady 168 BTHP

my DPMS 308 shot a 7/8" 6 shot group at 203 yds. I'd post the target, but I mailed it to DPMS. Shoot an email to [email protected] and he can probably send you a .jpg of it. My Win M70 bolt gun at the same ranges can only hold a 2 1/2" group.

Nice... On a calm day, I have been known to put 3 shots touching at 300yds with my Savage... But I want to get rid of it for one of these .308's...

Seems to be a pattern- selling Savages to buy Ar10's.

My 10FP has just sold. I almost never shot it once I bought my AR10T.

4 shots, 168gr Win Ballistic Tip Supreme. 100 yds, high humidity, no wind. 16" DPMS 308LR. I'd say they shoot pretty well.

(I have 3 more targets just like this one hanging in my office, but I wasn't gonna pull 'em out of the frames to scan)

I recently fired a 20 round 5+1/2" group at 300 yards with my BAR10-A2. I cut my teeth on M-14's and I am not the greatest AR shooter. A good AR rifle shot with optics could probably shoot a better group with my rifle, but I don't think 1+3/4 MOA at 300 yards with iron sights is too shabby.
