I would like a piston set-up and I would like to build my own but who makes a complete gun or what upper do I need to use and piston to build my own? I'm confused

| Building your own .308 is a great idea with he growth of that market and components........the problem is getting a properly head spaced barrel and bolt. Using a barrel from one source and a bolt from another is like playing roulette. You are either going to win big.....or lose, lose, lose and keep losing. There is very little in the way of standardization of this caliber and the chambers out there vary between straigh .308WIN or straigh 7.62NATO or in between the two to give the best performance with both ammo types.......this variance in chambers makes headspacing a bolt purchased separatly from the barrel difficult to say the least. |
