I've seen quite a few 9mm AR's, but I've yet to see one in .45 auto.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Olympic makes .45 uppers. Cav Arms MII lowers will take grease gun mags with an, I believe, Hahn mag block.

Check the Rimfire and pistol cal AR-15 forum for more info.

Check the hometown forum and go to Minnesota page.  They'll be testing a .45 at the end of august.  It uses what I believe are grease gun mags.  Sorry I'm not very good at making hotlinks.  They have pics posted also.

I have a oly 45acp upper, cut to 10" on a regular lower. The problem is I only have 1 mag. I'm waitig on this.cool . Cav arms makes a lower that takes GG mags but I hate the a2 stocks. Makes no sense to me to have a stock longer than the barrel.

MGI plans to release a magwell for the MGI Modular Lower Receiver later this year, that will take Grease Gun mags for 45ACP.  The Modular Lower Receiver has interchangeable magwells for a variety of calibers, for using magazines native to the calibers.

Do you know what kind of mag catch/release it will use?

Thanks!

No, I don't.
However, we strive to keep the ergonomics as close to the regular AR15 as possible, so I'd expect that is how we'll do these mag releases for the pistol calibers too.

Well get it on the market. My DIAS is waiting.  What about a belt fed?

Belt fed coming too. Probably before the end of the summer. 5.56 and 7.62x39 belt-feed modules.

Here is the AR45 that uses grease gun mags. Not on the market yet but we are in the quote phase with a few manufacturers. I will be testing the AR45 in late August here in Minnesota to get some pre-release feed back from shooters.
