so my buddy ordered a del-ton and after a year, hes still waiting. he wants a gun now. Either a LW chrome lined or a 14.5" m4 perm attatched CL. Hes got $600 and a lower. We need a kit or a LPK and an upper, the upper is giving me trouble. I can BARELY find CL LW barrels or 14.5 permed kits ANYWHERE. anyone point me in the right direction? so far i found this:
J&T |

Check out the Colt forum. There's a thread in there about the Colt 6520 LW. Some dealer in PA has a bunch of lightly used PA State trooper 6520 trade-ins for 699.99. Wow- this looks worth a look. Here's another option: Bravo Co. Perm pinned upper |

There are several CMMG and Bushmaster 14.5" 1/7 twist M4 uppers with permanently attached YHM phantom flash hiders available right now for $525 shipped to your door. I believe Area51Tactical and m4store.net have the CMMGs and PKFirearms has the Bushmaster.
Then you can use the $75 to buy a LPK...DONE for $600. I'd then sell the BCG on the EE for $100 and buy a BCM BCG for $140...still in at under $650. |

If he wanted it that bad, all he has to do is call DT and see what they have available and swap to that item. I know there are lightweights being put out now, because one of my dealers had one a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't CL, but that is an overhyped feature anyway. He also had CL and non-CL 20 inch, and CL 16 inch heavy barrel. All from DT, recently delivered. The stuff is out there, it just isn't exactly what people think they want.
But between what I want and what I can get, which do you think I am going to choose? I wanted a non-CL A2 16-inch heavy barrel. My dealer had a flat top, CL, 16-inch heavy barrel. Guess what is in my safe now? |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: how dumb would i look for askin what CL non-CL means Chrome-lined bore/chamber versus non-chrome-lined bore/chamber. oh ok thanks. i have a chrome lined barrel but not bore/chamber. is a cl bore and chamber that much better? The barrel includes the bore. And chamber. Certain barrels produced in the past had only chrome bores or chrome chambers but virtually all ARs produced at the moment that are "chrome lined" are both chrome bore and chamber. |

Quoted: Lower cost, potentially increased accuracy. It's difficult to get the chrome lining to the exact same thickness throughout the barrel, this has a small effect on accuracy.actually i just checked bushmasters website and it is cl. a few posts ago i saw someone saying they were looking for a non-cl. what would the advantage of that be? Quoted: lol i can never keep myself from looking like an idiot haha. i have a bushmaster xm15-e2s, u think mine is one that has the bore ahd chamber chome lined Asking questions in earnest should never be confused with being an idiot. As for what your particular rifle has, most Bushmaster carbines have chrome lined barrels. Any markings on the barrel, probably in front of the front sight base? |

I checked bushmaster website and it confirmed its a CL. On the barrel it says BMP 5.56nato and 1/9 for threat. also on the gas block theres some type of logo molded in. kind of looks like a crown. |

Pick a 14.5" M4 upper with Chrome lining:
J&T = $416.81 Shipped BCM= $437.95 Shipped $21.14 is the difference between doing it right the first time and crying to us about how "the front fell off" Don't be the one (help your friend out) It isn't even enough of a difference for me to do a cheap build. Where is 87GN??? |

i just called del-ton yesterday and the 16" light wieghts are still back ordered but they are shippihg 16" heavy barrels and m4 kits.

I can attest to the fact that Del-Ton has shipped Black Rifle Friday orders out. I got my M4 kit on Friday of last week. Great service and fast shipping for in stock items. I shot it yesterday in the 3 degree weather we have an it shot great. Looks good and fit on the Oly lower half I had. |

There is a couple of dealers that have stuff like that. Also, like others have said, the CMMG bargin bin rifles are fine for the money. Can't go wrong there either. |
