I'm thinking about doing a fixed stock carbine/middy for my next rifle.  I really like the A1 stock length, fits me well and seems like it would be handy on a carbine.   Yes, I have no problems shooting NTCH with a fixed stock.  So if you have one, please let me know what you think of them.  Also, please post some pics if you have them.

Thanks!

The A1 is too long for how I handle a carbine.  I play around with one that I still have that I will use for a 20" build.  A twist on what you are looking for:

A converted carbine to be a mock Dissapator with RRA Entry stock, single sling adapter, and trapdoor base plate:

Same upper with rifle handguards and A1 stock:

I like mine.  I like the cheekweld on a fixed stock better than the adjustables.  Mine is a retro 651:

my coyote chaser has a (A2?) fixed stock (16" barrel, midlength gas).  Love it and wouldn't change it.

Both of these are Spike's midlength uppers/DoubleStar lowers.

RRA A1 Stock

Ace Stock + Magpul midlength MOE (I love this one.. I blacked out the gold lettering on the scope since the picture was taken. Also put on a folding front sight)

My .458 SOCOM looks a lot like your all black version (I have a standard FF HG, however).  I like it a lot...

!6" CMMG upper; medium-contour barrel with mid-length gas system/handguard on an Aero Precision lower with USGI M16A1 stock. The other one is a Colt 6721 with chopped barrel.

Will that RRA Entry stock accept a standard trapdoor base plate, or did you have to modify it? Thanks

It's one of my favorite configurations. This is an SP1 w/A1, slickside upper, and a non-permed Colt SOCOM 14.5 bbl. M4 handguards with a strip of rail, and a Duckbill grip. Very light and handy.

I've come to appreciate and become a bit partial to Sully stocks for carbines.  They're about the same as 2 out on most 6 position stocks.  They're solid through and carry a little extra heft to them; I find this brings the balance point back, helping it 'swing' better between targets.

I went with one on my wife's as well.  Keeping it simple for her.

As well with my Grendel.  Just wanted something solid and short for ease of movement through the woods.

I kind of want to make an SBR with a fixed stock

crappy crappy cell pics of my carbine with a sully stock with 1" extension i lightened up.
not pretty but functional. i like having a fixed stock it works well for me. very consistent and solid.
if you do look into the sully stock, keep in mind there is no rubber but pad for it. you will have to make
something up to work there. its only an issue for me when wearing a chest rig and the butt slides around on the
shoulder strap somewhat.
