According to the IBZ instructions having the sight set to 6/3 and using the 0-2 apiture produces the same trijectory as having the sight set to 6/3 -4 clicks and the small apiture. This got me thinking. If you set the sight to 6/3 -4 clicks and use the 0-2 apiture would this set the sight to 100 meters? May thinking is this: sence 6/3 -4 clicks is 200 meters with the small apiture and 6/3 with the small apiture is 300 meters and 6/3 with 0-2 apiture is 200 meters than wouldn't 6/3 -4 clicks with the 0-2 apiture set the sights for 100 meters? I know im probably way off base here but I would like your thoughts on this. Thanks |
Nice try, But going from a 200M zero to a 100M zero is only a 1 moa drop. Flipping the apertures gives you a minimum of a 2 moa drop. So you'd be 'zereoed' roughly 1 inch low if you use the larger aperture at 100y. So if you drop the sight to 6/3 - 2 (remember the clicks are in 1/2 moa with the 6/3 sights) then use the large aperture you should have a rough 100m zero. Alternatively if you want a 100M zero then have the sight bottom out at 6/3-6 clicks. Then you can use the small aperture bottomed out for a 100M zero. |
