Even a few minutes browsing through these forums or a dealers web site should provide ample evidence that different calibers are available.

4: I ask because of course I need a lower that will work with the barrel... Right?

I'm not sure what you mean, but I'm going to guess the answer is "no." The only relation between caliber and lower is that the ammunition (and it's magazines) must be able to fit into the mag well. Barrels and lowers have nothing to do with eachother.
