| I am using a Burris Fastfire III in absolute cowitness height as a primary for indoor home defense. It is due to be replaced by a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro shortly. I question whether it would be wise outdoors in bad weather where water or debris could get between the diode and the screen. I think the DP Pro will be plenty rugged and bright enough, but the body is still open. |

I'm running a dual illuminated RMR on a PDW sized SBR.
It works well, I like the large triangle since it's fast to pick up, but the point provides a fine aiming point. However - the DI RMR will wash out, I had to add backup sights. (Good news is that the backup sights are very quick to pick up in the same condition that the RMR dies in, shooting from dark to very bright.) I did buy amber, for a do-over, I'd likely get green.
