are there any optics or rails worthy of putting on a a1 style upper? or would i use a standard rifle scope? thanks in advance

You could put an ACOG TA01 on an A1 upper. Its configured to go on a carry handle.

Its a daylight/low light optic. It uses Tritium to light up the crosshairs. The crosshairs appear black when the light is good, and red when its not.
