| Do the full size 20 inch a4 have the upper with m 4 cuts .Or are they standard cut rec.With 20 inch barrel and f marked front sight base.If its not a m4 cut upper why would it need f marked site base . |

A "true" GI M16A4 upper does Not have the M4 cuts for the barrel feed ramp. It does not need them, but some builders put them on civilian receivers because everyone on this forum has decided that they are the best thing since sliced cheese and must have them needed or not. Both the A4 and M4 have a "F" marked front sight because of the removeable carry handle height as opposed to the fixed carry handle sight on the A2. The A4/M4 needed a taller front sight to help achieve zero. So, the "F" on the barrel has nothing to do with the cuts for the feed ramp. These are two completely different issues. |

If you are asking; Can you put a 20" A4 barrel with a M4 ramp onto a Colt A4 upper that does not have the M4 added feedramps, then the answer is YES. There have been thousands of these rifles made without this added ramp and they have run fine for years. There is not a lot of difference between one with and one without. |
| Ok because cmmg has 20 inch gov. profile f marked front site parked finish crome bore M4 ramps on rec ex. .Iwill get this and plug into my colt flat top upper that has no rec cuts .and it will go on my colt ar marked le stamp lower .with knights rail agog rco31 a4 sight and mae tec flip up and broom handl and top sling .then I am ready. |
