either i'm a moron or there is something wrong with the stock.  how does the metal  clamp fit tight to the rear of the receiver?  the buffer tube is screwed all the way in

it look slike you might have a buffer tube nut  on there. on my ACE stock you did not use a nut to hold the buffer tube to the lower receiver. that clamping device they provided is used to secure the whole thing.

And looks like he is using a A-1 or 2 fixed stock receiver extension with built in seating flange, where he should be using a carbine telescoping receiver extension without it's castle nut (clamp works as the castle nut)..

it an ultra light stock.  yeap it's an a2 buffer tube that came with the stock.  i ordered it from delton.

I've only had one Ace stock, it was the ARFX.  All I can say is you're using the right extension, but that front clamp doesn't look right.

    Is the flat " flange " , sandwiched between the lower and the other part ( do not know the name of it ) , removable ?

it's part of the tube.  i coulld file it down, but thats too much like work

Figured it out,

He needs a #AR-UL kit, and ordered (or received) an #UL-M kit instead.
