I picked up a couple 20 rounders for $15 each.
Are these Vietnam era mags and should I get some more? ADVENTURE LINE MFG. CO. INC. PARSONS, KS. U.S.A. There were also Universals if I remember corectly but I have not heard of them before. |

Got one of these from my father in law loaded with blanks. He got in in vietnam and had been loaded for over forty years! Unloaded it, cleaned it up and took it to the range. Worked flawless in all my rifles, even when loaded to capacity!
$15 is the asking price for these in my area, only see a few at local shows and buy them when I can. Simmons are GTG too! |

There were also Universals if I remember corectly but I have not heard of them before. Vietnam-era 20rders were made by Colt, Adventure Line and Simmonds/Universal. $15 is at the high end of reasonable for them (you can get them for around $10-12 ea. if you're persistent), but if they are in EXC-LN condition I'd buy 'em at $15 and not worry about it. Simmonds/Universal was a subcontractor for Colt, a lot of Colt's older 20rders were really made by them....look for a U stamped on the back of the mag near the floor-plate. They also made mags under their own name. Both are GTG. |
