2 questions: 1) how do you remove the lens covers on an aimpoint? from the box, there at 11 o'clock right now and get in the way of my field of view. i don't think i want to just put them in the 6 o'clock position. i think i want to just take them off and use a neoprene hood for storage and transport. 2) are there any tricks to centering the aimpoint in the mount. i have a larue qr mount. i just eye balled it when i first installed the aimpoint in the larue. but, now i want to locktight the aimpoint in place and i would like to make sure the sight is level and correctly positioned. thanks |

1.) Just pull hard, I guess 2.) Run the bottom screws in. Then start the top two screws. Tighten them just until your Aimpoint will not move, then back them off JUST A HAIR. Adjust your Aimpoint. Place mount on it's base, down on a flat surface. Hold Aimpoint in place with one hand, and tighten Torx screws with other hand. Monty |
