ok just out of curiosity would it be illegal to mill your own lower and use it just for personal use? im reading arguments on another forum and they are saying it is but i thought i read some were that is was legal and that it just couldn't be transferred to another person?

i have search this many times i for some reason cant find the answers that i found last time i searched this

You can buy an 80% lower and finish it yourself with no paperwork, so why couldn't you do one from scratch?

my thoughts exactly... dont you just love when some one starts an argument with a subject and laws they know nothing about people need to get facts before arguing.

i completely forgot about being able to buy 80% receivers and i just got done looking at a few.

You are good to go as long as you are doing it yourself for yourself.

And you can legally sell or trade it down the road.....as long as you don't establish a pattern of building them and immediately selling them....it isn't a problem.

Totally legal to build a personal firearm for your use. However, should you sell down the road, it is advisable to serialize it in some way.
