| what would u consider to be quality ammo? i just got an bushmaster m4style. i only shoot wolf just to get used to the trigger pull and things like that. i did run into some Q3131A for $3 at a gun show in jackson, ms. bought bout 200rds. anyway if your life depended on it which ammo would you use brand and gr bullet? |
Winchester Q3131A is quality ammo, as is anything made by Black Hills, or Federal XM193.
This is covered in the Ammo Oracle which I suggest you read. For me its the Black Hills 75gr OTM (Heavy Match) if your rifle doesn't like that load than I'd get the Black Hills 69gr SMK or 68gr OTM. |

Wolf seems to be reliable and safe, short range drill ammo now that they have gone to the polymer coating. Jury is stilll out on the wear issue. In the accuracy department it simply SUCKS!!!!!! Q3131, and Q3131A and XM193 is the all around "Go to" for a reason. The stuff is a baseline. From there match the mission if specialty needs arise. As it is the M193 is hard to beat in the broad spectrum of defensive use. |
