hey guys took some adcom m855 98 head stamp stuff to the range to test and well after shooting I noticed 5 shells have dented rims from my extractor bad. it is trying to ripe the rim off lol what is wrong? Also on the 5th case the neck had a hair line crack in it after shooting that was not there before. I have never shot adcom stuff and not sure if my extractor is or spring is messing up or if it is the ammo? please help thanks kam

Read some of the Adcom reviews on here. It is not well thought of by many people.

I have read the reviews of this stuff and some say good and some say bad. well I am wondering if the shells are overcharged and that is causing my gun to dent the rim that bad or if the extractor is messing up.

Sorry, I ate all my meds at once.

Who shot it?

What rifle?

What ammo/lot?

What conditions?

When?

Where?

Sorry, I'm only going to hang my ass out there where good 'ole 'Murican ammo can save it, damn the cost.  It will be worth whatever I damn well please after the fact.

I shot the gun at the garland shooting range. I have a 16 inch dpms and well I checked a few of my old winchester shells i shot 6 months ago and they have a dent on the rim too. I think my spring or extractor is messing up. And yes I shoot american made ammo too... but they are going up in price.

Dude, one thing about this place is it is filled with good info, but you need to post all info like you would do if you were in court or risk haveing the thread replied to by smart asses.

Besides, some people need to be corrected because of the dumb things they say.

Just post all the info next time.

I have fired 400 of my 1000 rounds of adcom '98 hs through my S&W M&P15 without problem so far.  Ammo looked in good condition when I received it in 20 rd boxes.

have you notice any cracks in the neck area after a shell has been shot? I have been reading all the info from this site for a long time now but finally decided to create a screen name. There is a lot of useful info on this site but for some reason I cant fine any on why my rim on the ammo is getting dented... it looks like the extractor is putting so much pressure on the rim that it is denting it when ejecting.
