| Has anyone had a cast receiver anodized? I am sertting up to do home anodizing and I wondered if anyone has had their cast 80% anodized. How did it turn out? The aluminum alloy is 91% aluminum and 7% silicon so it should be good to go. TIA |
| I did it, the anodizing works but the dying process left the receiver a light gray color. The best way to do this is to anodize it, dye it the best you can, then just hit it with a coat of Norrells. No point agonizing over the dying process. The important part is just to get a layer of anodizing for the hardness. |
