Hey i finally installed my dd omega 7inch rail i got for xmas.  After installing on my bushmaster optics ready caribine, im not sure whats wrong.  Its like a few millimeters short and doesnt reach the gas block.  Because of this its very wobbly.  Is there something im doing wrong or what?  I cant figure it out i installed my mako one with no problem and installed this one same way.  Ill try and get some pics up.

Sounds like your doing something wrong.

Mine does not touch the FSP/Gas block either, but is locked down once installed and tightened correctly.

Actually i think might of broke my delta ring.  When it moves so the delta ring is moving with it. Crap :(

The DD Omega rail is a free float rail. It is not supposed to reach your gas block. Make sure you follow the instructions and tighten down everything in the correct order. I did that and mine is locked out very tight.

Hmmm... I hope someone more knowledgeable will kick in. I'm not really sure what that means, if it's supposed to do that or not...

Are you sure you have it "clipped" into the Delta ring all the way? It was a little tough to get the second one clipped in.

I got it workin now :) I had it in delta ring right.  I forgot to tighten the allen screws.  Mine came with the wrong instructions, came with the instructions for the 1 piece rail so i didnt look at them at all.  Thanks for posting the site with the instructions it worked perfect.  Im guna have to do it again though, i thought i was ok with the nicks on my rail but now i noticed that half of the DD omega logo on the rail is faded too so im going to ask for a replacement.  Also the allen screws are covered in something weird, almost looks like dried up mustard.

I think the "mustard" is probably some kind of threadlocker for the allen screws.

Rub a little CLP on the rail and see what that does with the logo. The rail might just be dry and this can make the logo look faded.

CLP = Cleaner, Lubricant, Protection. Does all of the above. When anodized aluminum is really dry, it can look chalky, grey, and dusty. Put a little CLP on a rag and rub down the rail. You should do this anyways, but see if that brightens up your logos a bit.

True.  Being that i have a cleaning kit that has a separate cleaning and lube bottle which should i use? Im thinking the lube lol since u say the rail might be dry and lube makes dry things not dry.

Lol another problem.  I just realized it didnt come with the qd swing swivel mount as posted on bravo company.com.  This was def a return no other way possible.

LOL thanks for the laughs!

Is there a hole in the side of the rail near the D-ring?  That is the sling swivel mount.  You still need the QD swivel itself to go in.

LOL THATS ALL IT IS? You mean "an integral QD sling swivel mount" is five technical words for a fuckin hole? lolol why dont they just say i have a tactical hole in my rail?

lol im sure it works but the site made it seam that it came with the mount for the sling.  it didnt say a hole to mount on.  i guess if they said that some would of took that the wrong way.

Well that's pretty much the way every QD swivel mount "hole" is described, whether it's on a buttstock like the CTR or EMOD, or if it's on the rail like the DD Omega or Larue, or on a rear plate sling mount. They aren't going to call it a hole. Sorry you misunderstood the description. As far as I know, none of the buttstocks or rails with QD mounts come with the swivels. You can either get them on the sling like the Vickers or you can buy them seperately. I bought the same rail you have and I love it, but it doesn't come with the swivel itself. I also had to buy a swivel for my EMOD stock.

Honestly i didnt even consider the fact that i thought it came with a swivel in why i picked this rail.  I can tell i love this rail but i do wanna call bravo company and ask if they can send a new one that isnt scratched up and without a faded logo.  I just thought the swivel mount would be cool but ya i misunderstood what they meant.  They could be a little more specific but i guess people that know more than me would know what they mean.
