Anyone have a good idea for a retro rifle case?
I have a newer m1950 jump case but it doesn't look retro

I use a repro WWII carbine case for my 652 with a 14.5" barrel with jam nut then pinned and welded.

It fits OK with no magazine. No padding though.

It probably wouldn't fit in an original but the cheap repros are sloppy.

https://smile.amazon.com/Fleece-Lined-Carbine-Carry-Strap/dp/B008O7A8M6?sa-no-redirect=1 something like that?

Do you know if it'll fit a 16" AR with typical size muzzle device and carbine stock?

I use a WWII paratrooper griswald bag, ever since I had a couple of Vietnam vets tell me that is what they were issued.  It is well padded and very compact, holding the rifle in two pieces with a cloth spacer between them.

The fleece lined M1 Garand cases work well for a 20" rifle.
