 description for this device mentions: "Not for Use on Rifles with 20" A2 Length Barrels" i do not understand why is it because barrel internal volume is too large and will not cycle the action? does anyone know why? |

Originally Posted By Postal0311: There are different models for the M4 and the M16. That is the M4 model. It restricts gas flow to enable the weapon to cycle the blanks. There are different size restrictions for the different size guns. This and the other is painted red to distinguish between the two. |

The M4 device on the A2 won't keep enough gas back to cycle. The A2 device on the M4 will do way too much and the BFA can get damaged, or the rifle can get damaged from cycling way too hard. |

i was trying to get a red bfa to function in one of my 20in bbls to test some frt`s. could not get any of them to cycle w/ a variety of m200 blanks. contacted some studio/pyro tech`s. and was informed that the military when using the MILES gear w/ 20in bbls ( back in the day ) their armory use a smokeless powder that has a higher pressure curve to cycle/function in 20in bbls. unfortunately that powder is not for civilian use and can not be purchased. |
