| I've been looking into scoping my 20" for a while now and am finally pulling the trigger on what I am wanting (for the time being at least). since I now have the scope I want, my next question is scope mounts. I know a lot of people like the Larue and Bobro for their QD systems, but I am not really wanting a QD, more of a permanent mount like the Nikon m223 mount or the aero precision, but I was wondering if the are any scope mount manufacturers that allow you to drop underneath the scope and use you irons, like an old military acquaintance of mine had on his 7mm bolt action |

Look for a few and you will see scopes centered 3.5" above the bore. The 'modern' solution is offset irons if you want a fixed optic and immediately available iron sights. |
