hello there i am trying to get a ar together and there are several companies out theres that have great choices to chose from and was wondering if you could help me out with two of them im looking at getting. the only problem i see is that i still have to get sights for the upper either it be front and rear or just a rear sight. i hear good things from some people but most dont own one or use one. i am mostly just using it for shooting/plinking i am not trying to get the best of the best for a rifle but dont want cheap parts either. i was going to get a 7.62x39mm upper from bushmaster which is 519 but that might be for a later build. only have 650 for a rifle which can be done i just need to chose a upper from a company.
Any opinions about what you guys think. Thanks you for your time.

I'd go with the PSA.

I've owned neither, but I would go with the PSA.  They will both do what you want them to, and you will only need to buy a carry handle for the PSA.

I'd probably go with the PSA also....

Their barrel is chrome lined so it will be much easier to clean, last you longer and be more corrosion resistant. Although the chrome moly barrel on the other one will be slightly more accurate.

The PSA is also has the pinned FSB, that's more of a personal preference for me though, I'm just not a fan of the set screw railed gas block for mounting my front sight on.

You also need to keep in mind the bullet weights you going to shoot, PSA is 1:7 and the other is 1:9 twist so the range of bullets they will stabilize is going to differ somewhat.

4150 chrome lined barrel vs 4140 chrome moly barrel,  Carpenter 158 steel shot peened hpt/mpi bolt, vs "mil spec" BCG, 30.00 less, and you only need to buy a rear sight.  the free float rail is nice, but something you could put on later if you "need" to add a bunch of stuff to your rifle.

thank you for your replies the other upper i was looking at was a dpms a3 flatop lite 16 for same price as the psa but they sold out of it
i know the 1.7 twist is for the heavier grain bullet such as 70 grains and up and the 1.9 twist is for the lighter grain bullet such as 55 grain or 65 grains.
i am mostly going to shoot 223 out it such as the 55 grain but will sometimes show the 556 nato round too. the lower im putting the upper on is a plum crazy lower i know i might get crap from people about choosing that lower because its a all polymer lower and that people think it wont last or is crap compared to other lowers.
the only thing i cant find out about the psa upper is what type of barrel profile it uses such as a hbar, light, or another profile it sounds like the psa is the one people like more
i dont know much about the metals used for ar rifles except for the barrel being chromed line making it last longer and bcm chromed lined for better cleaning otherwise im clueless about the differences between the different types of metals used.
