read the FAQ's...nothing...shot my new colt 7.62 today,  many mag probs...the mags I used were colts...with floorplate that said 7.62 but according to the faqs, the follower is also supposed to say that...it doesn't. I have 4 colt 7.62 mags from 2 different places none say 7.62 on follower..is this normal? or did some unsavory dealer just swap out floorplates and charge a premium?  it seems like the tip of the bullet is getting hung up on the edge of the mag, like it needs to be lifted higher... does magpull make 7.62 followers? would that help? the faqs list mwg mags as a potential fix...how is thier rep? any other good ones? I don't need high cap, 10 is fine or even 5 if I have too...thanks for any help!

If you are satisfied with 10 rounders, you should go the CproductsLLC website and order thier 10 rounder as they seem to work.  7.62x39 "COLT" mags are not known for reliability and many won't function worth .02 with more than 5-7 rounds in them.  Cproducts is just now releasing their 30 round 7.62x39 mag.  But I've not seen anyone here on AR15.com report on FFF (Form, Fit, Function).  I had real good luck with 20 and 30 round "franmken mags", They were a unit consisting of and upper AR-15 mag column, with what looked like an AK bottom welded in place to make a complete mag.  The 20 rounder I had worked real well in my rifle, and what little I used the 30 rounders they seemed to do ok.  Now that I thnk about it, I have a couple USA brand 10 rounders remaining if you want them, $10 each just PM me.

Just cut to the chase!  Got to C Products web site and view the video of their 10-rd AR-7.62x39 Mag in action.  This should answer all your questions.

I just finished doing my 1st run of test on the new 2nd Gen 30-rd C Products AR-7.62x39 Mags.  From these test, I think the have solved the problem of a good working Mag for us!
